"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows"
Ok, the only place I've ever heard "deathly" is before the word "pallor". That puts "HEY OK THIS IS CHARACTER DESCRIPTION" in my mind. "Hallow" sounds like "hollow".
"Deathly Hallows" makes me think of pale, hollow cheeks. Add it all to-ge-ther aaand whaddaya geeet?

Somehow, Snape being anorexic doesn't seem all that strange. The poor guy seems so depressed it makes sense that he wouldn't eat/eat very little, though it would be more likely that it would be more from a lack of appetite than a fear of getting fat.
